Current Applications:

• Currently we are performing mid-season lawn evaluations. With questions regarding the recommendations we make, please contact us.
• We expect fall pre-emergent applications for all programs will begin the week of August 28th. If you plan on seeding the lawn, please let us know. Turf Shield 9-1-3, our pre-emergent, will prevent it from growing!

Current Lawn Observations:

• Do you have brown areas in your lawn? It's likely due to heat. I took some pictures of heat banding. If you see this in your lawn, keep watering and the grass will recover in time. Excessive heat is very hard on grass, especially if there is low soil moisture.
  
  
• Is your lawn yellow, but not dead? Chances are it's overwatered. Excessive watering washes nitrogen out of the soil, leaving the grass yellow. It will green up with the next round of fertilization.
  
  
• Disease and pests in a lawn can be very difficult to identify. If you notice unusual brown or yellow spots in your yard, it may be fungus. Dollar spot is very common right now. Please review our disease page for more information.
